Rikki Jacoba

Rikki JacobaNational Account Manager

Rikki is a key member of the business solutions team at First Advantage Recruiting Solutions. In her role, Rikki is responsible for assisting our Managers of Business Solutions in developing and executing recruiting solutions for key accounts. Her expertise in identifying client pain-points and providing consultative solutions enables our clients to realize sustainable success in their recruiting processes.

Rikki has been with us since July of 2006.

The Hotseat

What would you say is the best thing about working at First Advantage?
I like the fact that we never take our focus off of the client's interests. Many business services companies get so focused on efficiency and competition that they lose focus of what they are trying to accomplish for their clients. Here we live and die by our client’s success, so we make their success our priority.

What will you be doing on a sunny Sunday afternoon 20 years from now?
Planting flowers outside of my mansion – or watching the landscapers plant them for me.

What do you think makes you unique from a client's perspective?
I think my clients know for a fact that I will go the extra mile to meet their needs, and am never satisfied with "good enough".

Which leadership team member at First Advantage Recruiting Solutions would make the best political official?
I think LeRoy Robbins would make the best politician. He has a very genuine air about him that might help him with voters.

If you could change anything about yesterday, what would it be?
I would change my flight schedule. Seriously, sometimes I think the airlines are doing it on purpose.

______ makes the heart grow fonder. Fill in the blank.
Trust

What would someone from say, the East Coast, like about living in Indiana?
I think a major difference between the Midwest (and Indiana specifically) and the East Coast is the fact that people here are a bit more unassuming and laid back. Also, there is much more than corn in Indiana! Southern Indiana in particular is gorgeous.

Like many people in our office, you ran the Indianapolis mini-marathon this year. At what mile did you start to think that this was a questionable idea?
I think it was about mile 10. I started really dragging, and just wanted it to be over!

Do you have many perfect work days?
Quite a few, actually! - laughs -

What's more rewarding: Praise from a client, or praise from your team members?
Probably the most rewarding part of my job is when a client actually reaches out to let me know that I did a good job. It takes extra effort on their part to express that appreciation, so it's especially rewarding when it happens.

What is your least favorite color?

I would probably find myself teaching at the collegiate level. I love to learn, and have always loved imparting knowledge on others.

What is your favorite thing about living in Indianapolis?

If the opportunity ever presented itself, I would love a position with one of the international groups.

How do you go the extra mile for your clients?
I try to truly understand my client's business and specific needs before formulating a proposed solution. What is the best thing about living in Indianapolis?
Midwestern hospitality and the changing of the seasons! There are others that complain about the weather always changing, but I really like the seasonal weather. I have lived in Florida and Hawaii and the weather is great but there is not true changing of the seasons like there is in Indiana. It's great seeing the colors of the trees change in the fall, making snowmen in the winter, planting in the spring, and hanging out on the water in the summer.
